I Woudn't Call This A Comeback...

A valiant effort by the producers of American Idol to suck the life back into Paula's singing career seemed not to do much to resuscitate it. After much hype of a SuperBowl appearance, it was later publicized that Paula's performance had to be pre-recorded due to "stage fright." I am not sure if I believe that. She has been performing all of her life, when did she have time to develop stage fright? Paula had ample opportunity to bring her A game to the pre-taped show, yet I was left unimpressed. She can have credit for dancing better than Britney, but it will never outweigh the fact that her vocals sounded like they came from a tin can. And well, her lipsyncing was not very convincing. Yes, I believe she was lipsyncing...notice how they never show close up shots of her face? Word on the street is that her album is actually pretty good, as far as heavily produced dance music goes, but I don't see her coming back anywhere near where she was twenty years ago. Do you?
